Linear Density

Yarn linear density is one of the commonly used indexes to describe the degree of yarn thickness. In the past, counts were used to express the linear density of yarns. So far, some technical workers call the linear density counts. Especially for technical workers in the wool spinning industry, the current national and international standards are no longer supported. Yarn counts are expressed in metric counts, with large counts and thin yarns, small counts and thick yarns. Metric count refers to the number of yarn counts as many kilometers as 1kg of woolen yarn. For example, 1kg wool yarn is 18000m long, which is 18 yarns.
