1 Polyester fabric pilling reasons and pilling process

The reason why polyester fabrics are easy to pilling is closely related to the characteristics of the fibers, mainly because the holding force between the fibers is small, the strength of the fibers is high, and the elongation ability is strong, especially the resistance to bending fatigue, torsional fatigue and wear resistance, so The fibers are easy to slip out from the surface of the fabric, and once a small ball is formed on the surface, it is not easy to fall off quickly. During the actual wearing and washing process, the fibers are constantly rubbed, exposing the fibers on the surface of the fabric to the fabric. If these hairs are not shed in time, they can become entangled with each other and rubbed into many spherical particles, commonly known as pilling.
